The Lab
Ideas don’t have to become games to be worth building.
The Lab is where things get tested without needing to justify themselves — a mechanic pulled out of context, a system that might not work, a tool that only I will ever use. Some of it graduates into a project. Most of it doesn’t, and that’s the point.
What gets tested here
VR
Locomotion, presence, interaction and the awkward problems that only show up in a headset.
Procedural
Generation systems, noise, layout algorithms and things that build themselves.
Mechanics
Single ideas pulled out of a game and tested on their own to see if they hold up.
Tools
Editor utilities, pipelines and small systems that make the real work faster.
Web
Interfaces, canvas and shader sketches, and experiments that live in a browser.
Audio
Music, sound design and audio systems — the part of a project that carries the mood.
AI-assisted
Using AI tooling as part of the process, and working out where it actually helps.
Also
Anything else that seems worth trying. The Lab doesn’t have a fixed scope — that’s what separates it from the projects.
Experiments
No signals logged yet.
The first experiments will appear here as they get built. Until then, the current work is over in Projects — and the half-finished stuff usually shows up in the Discord first.
Most experiments get posted before they get finished
Clips, screenshots and broken builds go into the Discord as they happen. It's the closest thing to a live feed of the Lab.
